Totally Lost

You might want to consider a field work tractor with no loader (maybe an older low tech unit) and then think along the lines of a smaller CUT for lighter, more precise work (like cultivating/weed work after the corp is up).

You may be able to rent the equipment this year for the big field work and see how it all really works, then focus your choices on the effort and results. And you may find that once the field has been worked you don't need as much tractor. Keep in mind that you can plant cover crops as 'green manure' or to keep down invasive species that may have value in either attracting useful critters (like birds to eat the bad bugs, or helpful bugs that eat bad bugs). That may eliminate or at least reduce spraying (again, less $$, and less time). The cover crops may also increase your opportunity to make some money by being another cash crop (hay, grain, etc), or just forage for your critters when you are done with the flower crops. Your local ag extension office should have some info on those things.
