Default 563 or 673 Loader for John Deere 6430 premium?

I have a 6430 premium and would like to get a loader for it. From what I have seen, the 673 loader only offers an additional couple hundred pounds of lift capacity over the 563. Does anyone recommend getting the 673 rather than the 563?

The loader will be used for a variety of different tasks including moving round bales and moving material (dirt, gravel etc).

    thanks

I haven't used either of those models, but I do have a 553 on my 5101E. I use mine for the same tasks that you list there. My round bales are 1600# and I've put down enough gravel to pave 1500 lf of driveway. The capacity is more than I need. I've yet to find any task that even requires the engine to be at more than idle speed. If I had to make a complaint, it would be that the loader speed could be improved, but I am used to backhoe loaders. My flow is 22.5 gpm and yours is 29 gpm, I believe, so your speed should be an improvement over mine.

My opinion, the 563 is all you need.

Without seeing these loaders up close and personal I would advise you to consider the strength of the two loaders in question. A 6430 can develop a lot of force against the loader, I would buy the better built or heavier of the two. Hope you can see both to help you decide since ag loaders are not as heavily built as construction loaders.

I have the 6420 with the 673 Loader and I like this very much. But, be careful because you can lift a lot weight very high and things can get a bit shaky if you aren't careful!

My vote is the 673 mechanical self leveling loader. I have a JD 6415 with a 640 SL loader. If it did not have a loader, that's what I would get.

The 640 SL loader is rated (at 31.5" forward of the bucket pivot point):
    3968lb at full height
    4630lbs at 1.5 m (59")
5575lbs at ground level (breakout force)

Bucket Rollback Force (at 31.5" forward of the bucket pivot point)
    4744lbs at full height
    5575lbs at 1.5m (59")
    4946lbs at ground level

Not sure what the 563 or 673 specs are, but the 673 is what replaced the 640.

I would be nice if the blue band at the top of the posts change color to red when a post is over a year old
