I am looking at various late 90's early 2000 tractors 45hp range 4wd w/shuttles. Don't know anything about them, just looking for knowledgable opinions on good reliable units. Anything appreciated.

what do you want to know about them? basically what a shuttle does is give you the ability to change gears on the go via pressing the clutch. in other words you don't have to stop the tractor to change gears unlike traditional gear tractors(aka crashbox tranny's). speed ranges(a,b,c etc.) require you to completely stop the tractor to change these. for instance, if you were in A-3 and wanted to change to B-2 you would have to bring the tractor to a stop to do so. now, if you wanted to go from say A-1 to A-3, you don't need to bring the tractor to a stop, just press the clutch while on the go, and change from A-1 to A-3.
