JD 4110
I have driven several JD model compacts and like the 4010 and 4110 for size and price.

I have priced the following configurations from a local dealer. The configuration is as follows:

4010 - $11,645 (18.5 HP, HST)
60" belly mower
48" LX4 rotary cutter with slip clutch
Hydraulics for future implements (FEL, blade, etc.)

4110 - $13,395 (21 HP, HST, and rebates)
60" belly mower
48" LX4 rotary cutter with slip clutch
Hydraulics for future implements (FEL, blade, etc.)

I plan to mow 2 acres and bush hog 3 acres with slopes.

Should I buy the 4010 or 4110? I don't know if I really need the extra HP in the 4410. Driving them at the dealer doesn't help me know.

Has anyone bought a 4010 and wished they had spent the extra for the 4110?

If you have to cut thick deep grass with a 60" MM the 4110 would be a better choice. A 54" MM would be a safer bet on a 4010 under the same conditions. John

My understanding is that the 4010 is more geared towards the kubota BX series. I recently purchased the 4110 , if you look at the specs for both the 4010 and 4110 you will see a big difference in hydro fluid flow , which can have an effect of attachment performance. To me the extra $ is worth it for the increased HP. Get all the machine you can afford now. My 4110 has the 410 FEL and filled R4's.

Go with the 4110 , you'll be glad you did :)
