976 hours! Wow! I have one of the first BX's (April 2000) and have used it often, but only have 460 hours on it. 976 is alot of work. I sure hope mine will look better than that in a couple of years.
dave: if the meter is reading 976 hrs u can be sure it is more than that, on my 2400 the hr meter is only accurate at pto speed, runn less than that and it is off a bit.
That's because an operating "hour" is a multiple of engine speed. I've read "1,000,000 revolutions" listed as an hour on the face of some hour meters but I don't know if that's a standard.
We have some approching those hours in our area of the northeast doing lawn service work. They are holding up well and other than blades and a few wheels on the deck they are going fine and I can't seem to get them to trade!
