Default Used Tracker Price - Good or bad?

I'm in escrow on a house and the owner has offered to sell a John Deere 750 compact tractor with Loader for $10,000. The price includes a box scraper and blade (manufactures unknown). It appears to be in very good to excellant condition with 650 hours. I believe the tractor is 10-15 years old. Does this price sound reasonable?

not knowing the size and conditions of your new property can't tell u if u would actually need it. what u might want to do is offer a few$$$$ less, it is easier for him to sell it with sale of house than to try and sell it after he moves. evidently he has no need for it or he would not be selling it. you have to make the decesion?

The 50s are really tough little tractors... Prices vary quite a bit by region but 10k is a little outta line IMO... You didn't say if it was 4x4 or not. (makes a $ difference)

Machinerylink puts the value of the tractor @ $4900ish(2wd) and 5600ish(4x4) in premium condition. Tack on maybe $1500 for loader and attachments. Check to see how these prices hold up in your market.

Call a couple local/area dealers and ask them. There are two ways to ask this question of them, too. You can tell them exactly what's going on as you have here or tell them you own it and want to sell it to them. The first quesiton will get you a retail figure. The second will get you a wholesale number.

The machinery link site recommended above should be a good source for you. It will also allow you to input the serial number to get the model year.
