    Default Well used Kubota M4050

I have a chance to buy a kubota M4050 from my friend who's in the scrap business.

They've tried to start this tractor with no success. They say it has very low compression.
There's not a salvagable piece of sheet metal on it, everything is bent and/or has rust rot.

Tires are no good at all.

No info on trans, hyds etc.

I can't find any prices on engine parts online yet.

But do you think it's worth .25/lb?

It weighs around 3-4K lbs according to info I've collected so that means $750-$1000.

As badly as I hate to see old tractors get squashed, I did pass on this one.

Closer inspection also revealed a lot of diesel in the engine oil.

There are no aftermarket parts available locally. All the engine parts would have to come from kubota or from an online aftermarket source.

It's a shame that it was too far gone to save.
