Not a cub expert but the 800.00 offer is probably in line. A fully restored nice cub will bring 2 to 3 thousand dollars, usually including some attachments. Average good working seem to be about half that. You might want to do a search on the internet for farmall cub. There are several sites and groups out there dedicated to cubs.

It all depends on your area, but here in the northeast, cubs bring around 500.00 to 1,000 not running with an atachment or 2. Restored 2200 to 3500 on a good day, but the cub market has been down latley. I see alot in the 3000 range in the paper week after week. I think 800 is fair.

And you are not taking the $800 offer because??? /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

What is it worth to you? What is the serial number? How long have you owned it?

Tell the person who offerred the $800 that by a certain date, you will sell it to the highest offer, then pick a date in the near future. As you describe it, I would grab the $800 (as long as it wasn't a good friend that I wanted to keep) and be rid of it. You don't say when it was run last, nor did you include a picture so we could see its condition.

Good luck.

BWS - As long as it doesn't have serial number between say 99XXX and 101XXX, you should be safe. Cubs in that range can be white demonstrators repainted red. The demonstrators do warrant a bit of a premium on the market. Chuck

White demonstrators where only built in early 50 if i remember correct, jan, feb and march i think. But also if it is a 1947 cub first year low serial number , 501(first serial) it would be worth more. besides that the offer is a fair one in my opinion.
