I am not very tractor savvy, particularly in the larger sense. What is the significance of JD 4020 auctions?

The 4020 was part of Deere's "new generation" of tractors that took over farming from the older 2 cylinder designs in 1959. The 10/20 series, and the 4020 in particular, were some of the most popular tractors ever built. Even today, they (4020s) command nearly twice the price of anything built in the same time period.

Thanks for the post - although I'm not interested in 4020, I am interested in trying to go to some farm auctions to pick up some implements. The site you referenced doesn't have any Michigan auctions listed. Do you (or anyone else) have a site listing auctions for Michigan?

Hi Doc. Try Farmers Advance . They seem to have them most listings of auctions in MI. There's a big consignment auction in my area March 15th. Its run by the Berville Lions club as a fund raiser. Lots of tractors and equipment along with the required junk...er...jewelry that any other farm auction has.
