New ZTR purchase- Opinions
I am debating between the following zero turn riders. I am mowing 4-5 acres of grass, mostly flat with a couple gradual slope areas.
Bad Boy ZT60 27HP Kohler 60" deck Dealer Demo unit for $3995
Kubota ZG20 20HP Kohler 48" deck 2009 model with 62hrs $4000/ BO
Currently I am mowing with an older Ford Garden Tractor with a 50" deck.
Any advice would be appreciated.

You may want to look at this old thread about Bad Boy mowers, as well as search for info on the Kubota mowers in TBN. Here's the link to the thread on the BB: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/l...tr-mowers.html

If I was getting a ZTR right now, I don't see how you couldn't get a Bad Boy. Really impressive features and the price is stunning! I don't have one, but a friend of a friend has a dealership and I've demoed a few and they were awesome. Especially being a demo unit, the price is unbeatable. Your getting a lot more machine for basically the same money, and presumably a warranty since it's technically 'new'.

When you say 4-5 acres, mostly flat, that screams 60 inch deck minimum.

Re: New ZTR purchase- Opinions
I use my dads 52" Hustler fastrak its about 7 years old. Cut about 4 acres total in for about 9 months out the year. Not a single problem to date, good cut quality, no complaints. I would recommend this mower to anyone. The 52 isnt available anymore but they have 48, 54, and 60 inch versions.
