The best CCA battery
I am looking for a good car battery that can start my old ford that has been sitting for 18 years... I am wondering if a deep cycle battery is the right choice because it might die while trying to start it. It will need a lot of power to turn over the old inline 6
my budget is around 150$ Thanks a lot!!!

Re: The best CCA battery
I would choose a starting battery over a deep cycle for your intents and purposes. Really for about $175 you should be able to get two large starting batteries from Walmart (EverStart Maxx) and two short jumpers to connect them in parallel. You might also consider getting two different sized batteries with the same ratings if you need a new battery in one of your other vehicles. In most use a single battery should be all you need for the big 6 guessing you are referring to the 300 CID inline.
