Ford 4000 Price?

Wondering a fair price of a Ford Diesel 4000 in excellent shape?
Prices would be for the Southeast Area of country.

from what your saying about the tractor id say $4500 to $5500.a few years ago i offered a guy $4000 for a ford 4000 an he wanted $5000 for it.later on he ended up selling it for $4000 just what i offered on it.

Probably about $4000-$4500 depending on how excellent and the hours and condition of the tires.

I'd say it would be worth a tad more up here, but I can't accurately account for regional differences in price. A clean late model 4000 diesel is a very desirable tractor.
You simply can't buy the same robust build quality today as the 3 cylinder Fords of that design have.

Edit: It would take more than $5000 for me to part with mine (w/735 loader).

BigBull and Poison, that's about what I figured. I sold one about 20 years ago with bottom plows, bushhog, and scrape blade that I wished I hadn't. Hindsight is 20/20. I needed the money, and now I need the tractor. It's exactly what I need here on six acres. Nothing big, but a good working common tractor.
Those fords if taken care, were a great piece for small farming (weekend farming), and yard work, and driveway applications. Thanks for the response. I'll keep looking, and sooner or later, .............

yep.. if it is a 65+ 4000 3 cyl and in average or better condition.. they can fetch 4500-6000$ here.

I got a swinging deal on an ugly 4600 that needed minor repair and aprts repalcement and a face lift for 3900$.. and I wasn't even looking to et into the newer models. it was just sooo cheap I couldn't apss it up.

never see one that cheap again...

if it's a prior 4 cyl.. 3000$ is ballpark
