Should I have buyers remorse?

I just purchased a Satoh Beaver S-370D that's the 4 wheel drive model with a blackhawk front end loader, winch, 3 point hitch hydraulic log splitter, 42 inch woods finish mower or is it 48? i'd have to go look, a Satoh 42 inch rotary tiller that has never been in the dirt, 2 sets of rims with both new bar tires and turf tires.

I think you did all right.

Used 3pt log splitter: $400
Used 48" finish mower: depends heavily on condition, but let's say $600 at least.
Like-new 48" tiller: I don't know that tiller specifically, but let's say $1600 is a good price for a bargain-basement 48" tiller. I'd pay half that for a used one in workable condition, and maybe 75% to 80% of that for a like-new one. Let's say $1200.

By my count, you're at $2200 just for the implements. Sounds to me like you bought a tractor for $300. If you can't fix the tractor, sell the brand new tires and rims and sell the tractor for scrap. You'll still come out ahead.

I wonder if it is practical to add a ROPS to that tractor. Most of my life I was on tractors without a ROPS, but none of them save one had a front end loader. Now I really value a ROPS and a seat belt, particularly when a front end loader is involved.

You know, the tractor is really stable but I am thinking about adding a ROPS.

Buyer's remorse? Heck no, that is one cool little tractor!

I suggest you never question a purchase...and definitely don't ask if you got a good deal on an internet forum.
First, there's not much you can do if you got screwed or screwed yourself (other then learning a hard and expensive lesson).

As far as the internet forum aspect, someone is always going to rain on your parade even if you got a great deal...what good is that?
