2013 John Deere 5093e; 1949 John Deere MT; 1972 John Deere 800 windrower, restored; 2001 567 John Deere baler; 2013 CaseIH Farmall 55a MFWD
I have read a ton of threads on this site, some wonderful insight.

I am looking for help in making a decision. Last summer I downsized to a CTU (McCormick CT65U). Great little tractor, but I have changed my mind on what I want to use a tractor for and it is now too small.

I have recently looked at the following in the 75hp-100hp range:

TYM 723 - A lot of tractor for the money, but not a very recognizable brand up here in South Dakota and I dont see a lot of traffic on this tractor here on the site. Have a quote of 12k and my CT65u for a new one.
Kubota 8540 - Nice tractor, not thrilled with the dealer.
Mahindra 8560 - Tractors was solid, not thrilled with the cab layout but price is similar to TYM.
Deere 5083e - Real nice tractor, waiting on a quote from the dealer based on a config I build in the Deere configurator.
Deere 5075m - Again a nice tractor, a conservation turn in with 195 hours. Waiting on quote from same dealer.
Deere 5100m - Another conservation turn in tractor, 145 hours. Might be a little more $$$ than I want to spend but again waiting on quote from same Deere dealer.
Mccormick x10.90 - Have a quote of my CT65U and 17k for this one. Is a 2011 model that was never sold.
New Holland T4.75 - Waiting on a quote, like a lot of the cab features of this tractor.

Here's were I need help. I run a cow calf operation and have customed out my haying to a neighbor. I want now do my own haying using a properly sized round baler, and I need an FEL that will handle a 5x6 bale. My CT65U wont pick up a bale that size which really disappointed me.

I really like the Deere's, and the m series certainly is more refined than the e, but I also want to keep my expenses down. The TYM has a lot of premium features, but not as recognizable. The McCormick will probably be 5-10k cheaper than the Deere's.

I am trying to stay in the 20-25k plus my trade for a tractors/fel. Thoughts on which way to go? Would you go the TYM/Mahindra rout and save the $$, hit the McCormick middle tier or go Kubota/Deere/New Holland route?

As you can tell, I am covering all my basis with all the dealers local to me.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You will be hard pressed to find one of the tractors that you are considering to be more capable than the Mahindra 8560. But if you don't care for the cab, then no good reason to even consider it. They are all pretty close in capabilities and since you are using it for business, might want to think about resale in 5 years, which puts you into the Deere, Kubota or New holland for easiest resale trade-in.

Just my :2cents: , good luck.

Thanks for the input. I need to be careful and relook at the Mahindra again. I've seen SOOOO many tractors over the past couple weeks they start to blur. Resale is an item to think about, but there are many thoughts along that line when it comes to depreciation and total cost of ownership. I had a 3150 JD before the McCormick, and thought it's resale would have been better than it was. Thanks again for your .02!

Just received a quote on a 5083e (chevyman29, thanks for the comment. I'm told, with some small differences the 2012 and newer e series cab is very similar to the m series).
