G'Day
I live just outside Perth in Western Australia on a 5 acre block. Mostly old pasture but big trees round the edges and with a bit of a slope. I need to keep the weeds on the block down until I can eventually get a lawn going. We also need to plant some trees as well as maintain my gravel driveway and a fire break around the perimeter. Might want to push some dirt around here and there but nothing heavy. Will want to be able to mow a lawn around the house once I get that established.
Although my blood is already green being a Springbok rugby supporter, I have no particular tractor brand that I favour. I have considered the following tractors so far - Branson 2800H, Kioti CS2610, Yanmar EA2400, John Deere 2320 & 1026R, Kubota BX2360 & BX2660 - Mahindra didn't respond to my e-mails / phone calls & the New Holland salesman is still on leave.
Still need to physically drive the Branson & Kioti next week but have already done a walk around and sat in them. While I love the quality of the Kubotas they are unfortunately in my opinion not worth the additional cost over their competitors.
I have been given excellent pricing on the two John Deere models from one of the local dealers that I approached. (Amazing how pricing between dealers can vary!!!). I have studied the specifications of the two models and test driven them both. Is the additional weight and size of the 2320 over the 1026R really worth an additional AUD1000? Anybody out there that has experience on both models? Any advice much appreciated.
