I currently have a Farmtrac 3130 with a FEL and a 3pt backhoe. I love the tractor it can lift about 1400lbs with my front pallet forks. One of my friends has offered me a good amount of money for it so I 'm going to sell it to him plus I'm looking at getting a sub mount backhoe instead of a 3pt system. Any thoughts the Kubota L 3800 can it lift close to what the farmtrac can .

thanks

Thanks - I was wondering if anyone that owns a L3800 can tell me how much it actually can lift with a set of pallet forks. I hear that Kubota rates their specs on the low side and Mahindra rates on the high side.

Thanks

i had an l3800 i traded for 7040su that will lift a 1 ton skid if ita 2000ibs on the skid i lift 2 the wieghted 2500ibs its was a chore i gave up on tractors trying to lift what i want to lift unless you to step up to a 100hp tractor i think you would not be happy with forks on an l3800 i hated that tractor maybe an l39 tlb is another one to look at that compares closer to my 7040 they are 32k new i would look at used good luck in your tractor search

I don't have an L3800 but they are very nice tractors. If you plan on moving that kind of weight often you might consider the L4600. It has a much stronger loader but still has a reasonable price.

I think the specs are what the tractor can lift safely and reliably.
