@ BUY or not 2 buy
Please help with some advice, I haven't bought a tractor yet but today I have found what seems to be a good deal. A 2006 Farmtrac 360DTC with 320 hrs-FEL-disc-box blade and an adjustable grading blade and a 5 foot hd shredder for $9000. If you've had or know of someone who has or does own one please give an opinion either way, this tractor looks like brand new

Re: @ BUY or not 2 buy
I never had one but people sware by them or at least they did I guess they are pretty good tractors. The one problem is getting parts could be a problem. I did see a post in the farmtrac forum that was talking about getting parts and they had listed some ways that were working. One person even said that there are some new Farmtrac tractors being sold somewhere, I have no knowledge of this just relaying something I had read. You may want to go to the Farmtrac forum there would be people there that would know a lot more than us.

Thanks Guesseral, I've checked with a New Holland Dealer and was told that not only do they stock the filters and other parts for the Farmtrac's but they can order most any parts needed and they also service them.

Re: @ BUY or not 2 buy
At one point and time there was a partnership of some type between NH and Escort who made many (most) of the Farmtrac's. Not gonna pretend like I know what the relationship was but I think Escort made tractors for (ford) NH in the 70's, so yea it would make sense that the NH dealer would carry parts for the sister type tractors.

Re: @ BUY or not 2 buy
FYI. That tractor was made by LS years ago. New Holland does have a relationship (for now) with LS, but not back when that tractor was built. Even if the part was in the NH parts system somewhere, it would be impossible to locate.
Personally, if we where looking at that for a trade value it would be in the 5k range. I'd never touch it for 9k.

Here's a brief history of Farmtrac
TractorData.com - Farmtrac tractors sorted by model
Here's a recent TBN thread on Farmtrac

I remember seeing Northern Tool ads for Farmtrac tractors.
It definitely is a very minor brand. I'd worry about parts availability. Not worth $9K IMHO. Maybe $6-7K.
Don't know anyone who ever owned one of these.
Good luck.

Re: @ BUY or not 2 buy
Just because a deal is close does not necessarily make it good. However if it fits your needs it may be OK. There may be other alternatives that would serve you equally or better.
Working to increase the scope of the small tractor experience, one quick attach at a time.
