Comparison 1999 new holland 1725

I just bought a New Holland 1725 (1999) with backhoe and loader. It is the first tractor I have owned and I hope I haven't made a mistake. It has 478 hrs (supposedly) and seems in good shape. Is there any advice or warnings out there about this model? Does anyone know why they only made them for a few years and what did New Holland change them to in 2000 (similar model)

You might want to post this in the New Holland section, and maybe do a search there for that model. It looks like there are lots of references there, but not many about actual problems other than the little stuff that can go wrong with any brand/model.

I owned that same year and model from 2001-2005. It was a solid machine with lots of power for its size. I did not have a backhoe attachment, however.

According to TractorData.com, the 1925 was made from 1997 to 1999, 29 hp engine, 27+ on the pto. It appears to have been replaced in 1999 by the TC29, which had the same horsepower ratings. Shibaura made the 1925, and New Holland made the TC series, per TractorData.

This is where Tractordata is wrong. The TC series, T series and Boomer series up to the 2010 models were made by Shibaura, then in 2011 they went to the LS tractor models for the newer Boomer series. I had a 1710 that was rock solid and then got a 1725. The 1725 was good put had starter and glow plug issues with it, however, that does not mean you will have the same issues. I then went to a TC33D for 5 years then went to a TC34DA. Both the TC models were rock solid for me. A TC29DA model would be most similar to the 1725 model, but TC33D, TC34DA and Boomer 2035 are very similar with the same frame but higher HP engines.

I am looking for an operation manual, to see what the maintenance schedule and what if more than a filter (1925 NEW HOLLAND TRACTOR FILTER KIT, | eBay) is require such as the filter kit as linked....
