Price Check What is this Harley Rake worth?

Tomorrow I am looking at buying Ford industrial tractor and has about a 8 year old Harley Rake that goes with it. He says that he paid over $10,000 new. It is approximately 7ft. It has a "york rake" type attachment in the front with power lift. This rake has also has power angle and seems to be one of the better optioned attachments. I am looking to see what I could get for it if I bought the tractor then sold the Harley Rake. I live in Massachusetts, is there anybody out there that might be interested in this? Could any body tell me what this might be worth to sell. Any info would be great.

I have to ask what you intend to do with the 540A? Depending on your intention I suggest you try out the Harley rake before making a decision to sell it. This is a very useful tool for cleanup work on rocky ground. I would like to have one in my small arsenal.

The tractor will be used to push some snow and use some of the attachments I already have such as a york rake and bush hog. I know that it is a very useful tool but I would like to sell it to make up for the cost of the tractor. Do you know what I could sell it for?

What specific model is it and can you post some pictures?

Like any used equipment - it depends... the pictured unit looks to be a clean, real straight machine. However, those harrow shanks look like the points might need replacing. Your 7' machine is gonna be less.

What shape is the roller in? Spikes or carbide teeth? End bearing's leaking?

Does your 7' unit have hydraulic cylinders for all adjustments? That adds to the value, of course.

If I had to shoot a number at it (pictured 8') - basically sight unseen - $4.5k.

I was looking for one a couple months ago and found them anywhere from 1500 (really beat up) on up to over 6 grand. I think it depends on the shape of them like AKfish said.

I may be interested in it. What part of MA do you live in? I live in Upton.

Got some more info on the attachment. It appears to be a Harley Pro-8. About 10 years old. Tractor has been sitting for about 8 years so it did not see much use. Asking $3200. Located in Wilmington, MA. Sorry for poor image quality.
