Are there several brands of tractors made by one manufacturer? Or, made in the same factory?

I'm talking about under 100 hp tractors.

I've seen and heard hints that some are made by the same manufacturer, but branded differently.

For example, New Holland and LS tractors look VERY similar. Are they in fact the same?

Several years ago when I bought my New Holland TC45A, I looked at a CaseIH that seemed to be the same tractor, with a different color.

I'd love to see a chart of the comingling of brands.

Like John Deere - Yanmar

New Holland - Iseki - Shibura - Fiat - etc

Kioti - Bobcat

As far as I can tell Mahindra, Kubota and possibly some smaller lines that I'm not aware of may be the only ones manufacturing complete machines solely for themselves, it seems like all the rest have bought or sold rights to their compact utility lines.

LS makes CaseIH/New Holland's current compact tractors with CNH's own innovations and tweaks for them added too them.
The TC series and Case IH compacts were a Shibaura built powertrain and final assembly of the Americas version was done in Georgia. The complete tractor was built previous to that for Ford in Japan and shipped on a skid to the US.
Larger under 100hp tractors for CNH are Fiat powertrain or complete built Fiat, but Fiat IS CNH as its tractor brand. Mostly built in Italy with some built in Turkey or Mexico. Not aware of any recent tractors built by Iseki for CNH.
John Deere likewise had a similar relationship with Yanmar. Likewise, John Deere has some models built in Mexico and other countries dependent on model or series.
Kioti was the old tooling for Kubota, but has evolved into somewhat different styling.

I had always heard that Kioti was early Kubota tooling, even twenty years ago I never saw anything on a Kioti that seemed similar to even the oldest of the Kubotas I've worked on, including B6000's or L200's.

I believe Caterpillar is doing all the parts distribution for CNH and possibly JD too but I wouldn't swear to that.

Aren't the Kioti's the same as the small Landini and McCormick tractors also?

It's not a tractor but the new Yanmar skid steer loaders are really just a Gehl.

I believe Caterpillar is doing all the parts distribution for CNH and possibly JD too but I wouldn't swear to that.

Huh? I'm not doubting you, but never heard anything about this before!

I'm pretty confident about the CNH part of my statement not so much the JD. I'm only speculating on where their warehouses are located is all. I haven't directly asked my John Deere dealers yet. I was told directly from a Case parts department a few years back that Cat was handling their warehousing and parts distribution.

I found this on Wikipedia. It's very confusing.

LS Tractors is an engineering company. It is a division of LS Cable in South Korea. The group was originally part of the LG conglomeration, and was known as LG Tractors and LG Cable, respectively.
LS is associated with Mitsubishi tractors of Japan for technology, and many tractors are based on Mitsubishi designs, as well as use Mitsubishi engines. LS also imports New Holland Ag tractors to resell as LS-New Holland. (They originally had agreements with Fiat, which purchased New Holland. New Holland is a division of CNH Global).
LS currently builds tractors for Montana Tractors for sale in North America; and for sale under their own name as of 2009. They used to build for Farmtrac, a division of Escorts Agri of India, for sale in North America; and for TAFE Tractors of India also for sale in North America.
[edit]History

The history of LS Tractors goes back to 1975 as a division of Hyundai, and began with cooperation with Yanmar of Japan. In 1983, the former GoldStar Cable Company acquired the company and renamed it GoldStar tractors. The company names were changed to LG in 1995.
Tractors have been sold under GoldStar, Fiat-GoldStar, LG, LG-Fiat, LG-New Holland, LS and LS-New Holland names in South Korea. In North America, they have been sold as LG Montana, Montana, Farmtrac LandTrac, LongAgri LandTrac, McCormick Tractors and Landini.

New Hollands are also built at the Shanghai New Holland joint venture plant in Shanghai China, not sure if any of the under 100 hp tractors from this facility are imported to the US though...

You are correct that Caterpillar Logistics handles parts distribution for CNH and has for many years. It is purely a logistics company and division of Cat.
