Congrats! In my opinion the MX5100 is Kubotas "sweet spot" In their tractor lineup.

Think about having the rears filled with liquid ballast as well if you'll be doing any amount of heavy front end loader work.

Do you mind me asking why you went with the 2760 rotary cutter over the 2772?

By the way, that series of rotary cutters is an excellent quality cutter, you got yourself quite a nice package there!

His R4s are calcium loaded, so he is set there. I agree a 72" rotary would work well on that size tractor.

Agrred on the rotary cutter. I've tried 60" and 72" rotary cutters on my similarly sized tractors, and I just sold the 60". I'm looking at adding an 84" because the 72" doesn't come close to taxing them (39 and 45 PTO HP).

If you're going to lift anything 1k+ with the FEL, you'll want 1k or more on he 3pt to take load off the front axles (check your manuals for more accurate numbers). Loading the tires helps keep them on the ground, but doesn't help the font axle loading (and doesn't keep the rears planted as well as 3pt weight).

Pictures once it's dirty!

Congratulations, I agree the MX5100 is one of my favorite models and a real value with lots of features. As mentioned by others, I went with a 72" cutter, a LP RCR2672 for my similarly sized L5030 and it worked very well, it is now on my L5740.

Did you get bucket hooks?

We will be looking forward to your pictures.

Be careful. Go slow. MX5100 is a large FIRST tractor.

Check out the Safety Forum.

Thanks Piston. The tires are loaded with calcium. I thought hard about 60" or 72" and went with the 60" because I wanted something I could wiggle thru the woods with a little easier.
I've been all over the internet and TBN the last 4-5 months, talked to some other tractor owner friends and tried to build a package that will last for years to come... time will tell I guess.
