Default Mahindra 3616 cab vs New Holland 3040 or 3045 cab (have a Kubota 4240)

I am trying to get the best new 4WD tractor with a cab and turf tires, plus TR3 rake, sickle side mower, poss mid mount mower. I have tested the Mahindra 3616 w cab (~ $26,000 base), and the New Holland 3040 shuttle w cab (~$34,000 base). I have a kubota 4240 GST w backhoe, but I am looking for the smallest strong frame and largest HP possible, for using for landscaping and mowing around ponds (we have a 56" eXmark zero turn) and a comfortable cab. I like the New Holland a little better, but am having trouble with $8,000 more (~30% more $), since the Mahindra is a great tractor.

John deere 3720 has 43+ hp. Doubt that you find another tractor that small with that much HP if that is really what you want is more HP. Great for PTO implements. The 3616 is a nice tractor though, and would be hard to pass on for the money.

    Good luck with your decision.

The 3040 does have the supersuite cab and it's a true CVT. That may not justify the additional 8k to you, but I would take another look at the CVT as it's more than just a shuttle.

Check out the LS xr4046 . 46 HP. The HST cab model is going for around $28,500 right now. The tractor is loaded up too with remotes, telescoping arms, cruise, strong loader (2638lbs), etc. Not sure how it compares on size tho. It's the same as the Boomer 40/50 (LS makes a bunch of the New Holland and Case tractors).

Did u say you already have an L4240 ? Is that a cab?

Check out the 1600 or 1700 series Massey Ferguson. Its a little bigger frame than the 3616 and a lot beefier. The cab is great and the heater will drive you out in zero temps.
