Price Check New 2012 L4240 Left over

The other day I went to a local Kabota dealer here in upstate New York to get a price on a Kabota tractor with a cab. Right now I have a John Deere 790 And looking to trade to whatever is comparable in a Kabota series. Well the salesman informed me that I could not get a cab but anything less than a grand L-series. I said ok and was looking on getting a price for a L3240 Then he Mentioned that he had a 2012 leftover 4240 with a cab Bucket and rear remote. salesman Quoted me 36K. Me personally I think that's a little high Just want to get a few more Opinions.

I'm not in the know about cab price, but that does seem high.

I'm not sure about cab prices but go on the Kubota site and look because I thought you could get certain B series models with a cab.

yes you are right you can get some B series with a cab but those tractor are too small

I have a L4240 HSTC;it has been an awesome tractor.Mine has 700hrs,use it year round.It has never lacked for power.If you are going to buy new;the tier 3 tractors are getting hard to find.The same tractor in tier 4 will be about $3,000 more.I paid about $35,000 in 2009 for the same tractor.
I have a friend interested in a tractor and trying to get him to buy before the tier 3's are gone..The rear remote plumbing is worth about $800.00.I had the third function installed on the front and it was close to $1,000.I would buy the same in a minute.

Ok I see, for some reason I was thinking the 790 was comparable to a B series. The 4240 is a great tractor, it has the higher rated loader and the hst+ is great in day to day use.

Have you looked at the Kioti DK series?
Not trying start a brand war.
8 to 10k price difference is worth taking a look at.
Think of it as a free backhoe, and then some:thumbsup:

My Dad has a 970 Deere, he loves my tractor.
It is a Cadillac in comparison, alot more tractor.

I was quoted $26,200 for a leftover L3540 cab model here in NY.

The L4240 is a Very Very Nice Tractor! But personally I'd want a gear drive, or shuttle...

Thanks everyone for all your input. I Believe I'm going to do more research on tractors. the 4240 Is just to big for what I need it for.
