Default Need advice on new tractor for new home.

Hello, have been lurking on these wonderful forums for months as I purchase a new home. We finally got one on 5 acres.
Now I need to buy a tractor to work it! Hoping to get some advice.

Will need to do light grading for a garage and patio.
    Dig foundation for garage.
Tilling 1 acre for vegetable garden.
Install about 300 ft of french drains/drain tile.
    Maintain a long gravel driveway.
Pull 10" diameter downed trees out of creek area (10 ft sloped bank)
Install 20 ft poles for Hop yard.
    Move dirt,compost,mulch,firewood,etc.
and of course mow an acre or 2 of grass.

Never owned a tractor , worked one few years ago when redid old house back yard. It was a blast!
I am an Automotive Master Tech, so there isnt much I cant fix.
Been looking at BX25d or Deere 1025r. The more I look the more confused I get, lol.

Here are pictures of new house/land

    Both good machines.

However, may I suggest that you also take a look at Mahindra, Kioti and LS. LS is a particularly good value in small tractors.

    Welcome to the forum.
I wouldn't size my tractor to do a onetime job like your garage foundation. Hire it done and save your tractor for the regular jobs around the place. There are lots of good choices in the size range you need. It might come down to how the controls come to your hand when you sit on the seat. Do as much test driving as they will let you do. Shopping around for five to ten year old models like what you want to see how they hold up could help you make up your mind. Enjoy the process of shopping and your new (Very Nice looking) home.
