I have wanted a compact tractor for some time, but always planned to wait a few years..until now. I have just built a home on 10 wooded acres that I cleared 2 acres with a chainsaw and a wheelbarrow..not easy. Anyway, I will have a lot of landscaping and yard work ahead of me. A coworker of mine is moving and selling her 2002 JD 4210 with 500 hours MFWD, FEL, brush hog and box plow for $12000. It is a 27 HP tractor which I think should be plenty for now.

I am looking on opinions if this is worth the price or should I consider something else? Tractor value is difficult to gage.

Thank everyone!

G'day and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Enjoy the site... and I too would 'go for it', within reason of course. I'd check with the people who have been servicing the rig, just to be sure.

If you'd like more statistics on the 4210 go to tractordata.com, type in John Deere & select your model from the list. Good luck, Mate.
