Simplicity ZT2500 or Toro MX4260? Help!

Hi folks, yet another comparison request. Thanks in advance.

The ZT2500 has:
Hydro gear 2800 trans
20/10 rear tires
46" 12 gauge stamped deck.
Electric height of cut
Front spring suspension
Pivoting cast iron front axle
3 blades
25 hp b&s pro engine
15" seat
3 year warranty
12 gauge frame

The MX4260 has:
Hydro gear 2200 trans
18/7.5 rear tires
42" Mostly 10 gauge fabbed deck
Manual height of cut with foot lever
2 blades
23 hp kawi engine
18" seat
3 year warranty
10 gauge frame

Dealers are comparable and near. Cost is the same.

My lawn:
3/4 acre
Landscaping beds
Plush

Priorities:
Quality of cut
Maneuverability
Long lasting
Leaf removal

Please help me decide!! Thanks

Does the Simplicity have rollers on the back of the deck? Does the Deck float?

Hi. Thanks for replying. The Simplicity has a long roller behind the deck. The deck is frame mounted, as I understand, and does not float.

I am not sure. There is conflicting info out there. According to the specifications the deck is frame mounted. If you look up the Regent lawn tractor it states that it is frame mounted, while the Regent EX states floating deck. That is why I was guessing it may not be a floating deck.

BTW I noticed the deck is fabricated.

I like the floating deck, gives a better cut and does striping.

I wonder if Simplicity just updated their site. I now only see a 48" deck and I could have sworn the deck was stamped. I must be losing it.

Yes-- I will visit the dealers hopefully this weekend. I think Simplicity also is offering a rebate on both mower and collection system as well as 0% financing. Will check Toros as well.
