    Default New Kubota L3800

They delivered the new kubota L3800 yesterday. I took a few pictures of the factory rear remote setup from the dealer. We traded up from a B7510.

    CONGRATULATIONS.
The word tractor was taken from Medieval Latin, being the agent noun of trahere, "to pull, draw".

That looks real nice. I don't believe I have ever seen an L3800 with a factory valve setup before. I see you got the SSQA setup.. smart move.

Thank you. We also bought a set of forks for it and it came in handy two hours later when they delivered the new air compressor (1000lbs). The truck did not have a large enough lift gate to hold the whole pallet the compressor was mounted to. The tractor lifted it up..but barely. And the L3800 came with loaded rear tires.

Yep, the forks can be real handy. A grapple could be another FEL item you might want to consider some day if you have a lot of logs, brush or rocks to move around. I just finished building a large cedar log border for a big flower bed, and the grapple was invaluable for lifting the logs, and holding them on a slope until I could get some rebar pins in them. I have the little 50 inch single lid EA grapple as you can see in my avatar.

I asked the dealer to contact me if he comes across a used one. That is definitely one of the next investments. I'm waiting to hear back about the top and tilt kit from fit-rite. I plan on running lines to the front for the grapple.

I'm not sure. How can I tell? They gave me a small metal cover that looks like it was removed from under the seat where the valve assembly was mounted to.

Very Sweet! That is just the set up I am thinking I might need- I have a L3130, with the big GA bucket, filled tires, etc., and I am beginning to think it is just too big and heavy (5500lbs) for our needs. I upgraded from a B8200 that weighed about half that, and the weight is causing problems with soil compaction. I always wanted more tractor, mostly for plowing snow, but maybe I over-reached?

I see you are in Kingston, NY, where we lived in the 90's. Nice little city. Hope the surplus store is still in the Roundout- what a great place. Enjoy your L3800!!

Congratulations on your new tractor. We had OEM Top and Tilt put on our last tractor and have a hydraulic top link from Fit-Rite and it is as good as OEM; very good business with which to deal.

I agree with James k0ua on the grapple and recently bought one; can't believe how handy it is.
