Hi All, I am a new member here but have been looking from time to time. I am selling my beloved 2008 2620 as we purchased 22 acres and have quite a bit of tree and brush clearing to do. Anyway, I wanted to get some opinions on price for a new MX4700 and MX5200. I have a couple quotes at 29,200 for the 4700 and 30,558 for the 5200. Both with block heater, R-4 loaded and 1065 QA loader. I want this to be my last tractor (lol) but I will see. They would give me 10,750 for my 2620 with a woods box scraper and delmorino tiller. Does it sound like a realistic price on the new ones. Thanks and what a great resource site. Good stuff.

I don't know about the mx4700, but here is quote I got on mx5200 hst including a number of options. Tractor and loader alone was 30,900. These prices are before the cash discounts are applied.

MX5200:
4WD
HST (hydrostatic transmission)
R4 tires
FEL with 3rd function for grapple
HD SSQA bucket
2 rear remotes
Grill guard
Fiberglass canopy
Front and rear work lights
Kubota quote: $34,000

Do you mean mx4800? I paid 24,500 for my mx4700. Loaded ag tires, ssqa loader, no remotes.

Thanks, I did mean MX4800. Seeing way to may numbers lately. From the one reply above, it seems inline for the 5200. The 4800 is quite a bit off from the 4700 in price. Is that due to the emissions thing.

I think it's mostly due to the emissions equipment. Also, the new MXs have a stronger loader, so that could be part of it. Are the machines you're looking at hydrostatic?

Thanks, I am looking at the hydro models. Its not that I am stuck on them but my experience with mine has been very positive. That being said the dealer said there is a 1400.00 difference. I did get a call from a dealer out of state that is going to give me a price on all the models mentioned plus the MX5800. He said there is not much of a difference in price and the no tax is appealing.

Regardless of which one you get, make sure it has the telescoping lower lift arm ends. I think those are standard on the MX5200 and optional on the MX4800, but I'm not positive.

I don't know what they cost, but they are worth their weight in gold. And I'm sure they cost less than hernia surgery.

Agreed on the link ends. I don't have them, but wish I did. Also, love my hst. Wouldn't choose gears for my application with the MX.
