John Deere 2720
It's been awhile since I've looked at new tractors. I just realized that JD isn't building the 2720 any longer? What's up with that?

I'm just wondering if anyone knows why the models changed and why they did away with it. I'm guessing it has something to do with new diesel engine emission rules. I have a 2011 2720. It's been a great tractor.

Thanks,

Scott

It's the 2032R now. It is exactly the same as the 2720.

Hey thanks guys for the quick response. I noticed the hp is slightly different. Mine is 31.4 and the 2032 is 31.7.

The 2032 number series makes a lot more sense than 2720. I never did understand why they called it that.

Great investment for me too. Well worth the money, and I only use it for the FEL and a chipper.

The HP ratings on the 4520 changed 3 times and they never changed the name. How the manufacturers come up with their naming schemes and HP ratings is anyone's guess.

The new Deere number scheme is probably the best they've ever had.

5105 is not meant to be read as 51 05, but 5 105. 5 series, 105 hp.

New Holland is also using a system about the same, such as T5.105.

Kubota is jumping on the band wagon too, such as the (not yet released??) M5-091, ect.
