Exactly, that Kubota is a model size bigger than the JD and its over 500lbs lighter. When i was looking at thekubota 8560 and the JD 5083E, I was over 1700lb weight difference. Thats huge for a tractor that is going to be doing farm work.

Thank y'all for the info.
So after calling around it appears $53 for the 95C with bucket and hay forks is the lowest price and it has wheel weight as well as the HD rear axles. I'm going to call and price a NH specd the same way. Kubota was $56k for a 9960 with 12spd trans. Deere is $56 for a 5100E with loader.

I'm trying to educate myself here but on Kubota's site the M8560 says its 6812 lbs. That is for the 24 speed, and it actually looks like the 24 speed is quite a bit heavier than the 12. Is that the way it is?
It looks like thats the same with the 9960. Between the 8560 and 9960 they show identical weights.

My experience was in 2011 so YMMV. I was just very shocked that the machines were that much different in weight for equivalent horsepower.

The 6720# weight for the 9960 includes the operator. The unladen tractor mass is 6545# for the 24 speed tranny. That is 1700# less than the Farmall 95C.

I agree that the Kubota is too light. We work in black land and need all the help we can get. So now it's blue red or green.

Don't get me wrong, the kubota is a decent machine in the Cut and scut segment. I'm not 100% sold on the larger AG sized machines yet. If you need a light footprint machine ,they would fit the bill for sure.

I have called around to get prices before and most salesmen will only quote msrp or close to it over the phone. I would recommend you narrow the choices to two or three specific models with a list of add ons. Take this to the dealers and have a face to face meeting to get a real quote. I would think a Deere tractor with a $56,000 msrp should sell for about $46,000. that has been my experience so far.

I haven't had a chance to see the other brands of new tractors yet but have looked at the Deere models. You might want to consider an M series Deere for high draft loads over the E series. You might also be happier with another 6000 series tractor too.

Buy green so the dealer can come pick it up in 50 hours like mine.
