With you looking at the Case 75c I'd suggest stepping up to the 90c. With that step up you have a little bit bigger frame but you can get the L735 loader. It's a 4,000 pound lift to full height. The L5x5 series run 2,000 or less. Utility Farmall 9C | Utility Tractors | Case IH

With the NH I'd go T5. For the larger frame.

We are looking at buying our first tractor, with the main use to be moving/unloading large square bales of hay. We are looking for a tractor with a cab, in the approx 75-90HP range, with a loader lifting capacity of >1400kgs and/or >3.5m height in order to unload bales stacked on a semi trailer, either two at a time or one at a time with a higher reach.
I've lifted a LOT of big bales with a JX95,

and I'm telling you, I would NOT want any smaller/lighter tractor for lifting 3,000 + pound bales over 10 feet in the air!

I still think the 75 will be too small/light of a tractor to do this SAFELY on a regular basis...

Sure, you could do it every once in a while, being "super careful", but it's just the wrong size tractor that that job!

Then there's getting the bales 11 feet high with that smaller tractor too! That's about all the 95 will reach and it sits on bigger tires than a 75...

Yea, and according to the specs the 75C will only lift 2000lbs:eek:
Gotta watch salesman, they often don't know anything about what they are selling.

Roughly what do the bales in the picture weigh?

About a thousand pounds each, that tractor has no problem loading them two at a time...

I have a M8540 that I use a grapple on my bucket to unload large square bales. It handles them fine, but I wouldn't want to go more than 10 ft up with this set up.
