what amount of hrs should be on a new tractor or what is expected by the buyer, most tractor will have about 2 to 4-5 hrs on them. But if you encounter one that you like to buy but has 8-15 or 30 hrs on it should you buy it as new. The dealership will run then around for display, storage, to kep the battery up and machine in good starting mode, possibly use it for light chores around the yard ect...hrs can add up fast when cold they will let it run it for 10- 20 minutes before moving them to warm up the tractor and the oils thats if they abide by the operators manual. Some models will add hrs if the key has been forgotten on regardless they take very well care of it and they are very easy hrs. but if you are worried the hrs on one your buying, its ok to have a red flag, just check it out good for scratches- rubs or any type of mark. go through with it with the dealer check all fluidsengine-transmision-coolant and front axle, i had bought one it had no oil in the front axle !!. If it has 20-30 hrs its ok to ask for a slight price knock off or free engine oil and filter on the first scheduled maintenance, that usually around 50 hrs which will come fast. There you will also have a feel of how the dealer will be for you after you buy. Tractors when well maintain on a timely manner will go thousands of hrs so whats 8- 20- 30. If the dealer sells as new he should give you a full warranty, hasnt been registeredand qualifies for financing. How you will take care of your tractor is what will make it a good and reliable one for you for many years..Good Luck
