Comparison kubota L2501HST vs. Mahindra 1526 HST

Kubota has a 6-year powertrain warranty now.

This is purely my speculation, but I think this is one really good thing that has come out of the "off-brand" CUT market. I think Kubota and Deere started losing enough business partially over having shorter warranty terms, so they increased their warranty length. And that right there is great for the Kubota buyer.

Did you notice that the OP is getting a backhoe? I got a quote for a 2501 HST for 19,000. I'd think 27 is high, but 25 might be possible.

Yes. I have gotten quotes for around $25,000 or less for same tractor with loader and backhoe.

Well I made some visits this afternoon to both dealerships... i was most impressed with the 1526 and its ease of use...the salesman was very informative and seemed highly knowledgeable...the 2501 was also a fine machine...I liked the separate forward and reverse pedal on 1526 vs forward/reverse rocker pedal on 2501..since my wife may use at times the tilt steering wheel on 1526 was a plus. Overall I thought both were quality machines and either would meet my expectations...I priced them both w/loader and bh...no financing.. best price on 2501 was 26300.. the 1526 was 24200 out the door which is 6700 off Msrp on website.w taxes included....that seems like a really good deal..is there something I'm not seeing here? I'm trying to figure out what the justification would be to spend 2000 more for the orange tractor.. For my purposes...both would be acceptable...any thoughts?

I would refer you back to post #6. That is the difference. It's a roll the dice but you pick the odds.

If you plan on selling in the next few years, get the Kubota. But if you are like me and have no thoughts of selling, then get what you are most comfortable with.

Here's a reason I'd buy Kubota. I don't want to wait for days or weeks to get a machine running again.

I can order from Coleman Equipment. Coleman is about 30 mile from the warehouse. 765,000 sq ft.

I went back and read that #6 post. It's 38 pages long! That poor contractor waited and waited and waited and waited, then it was broke again.
