So i'm looking at used tractor with FEL. Seems for about the same money I can get a 4wd 35hp or a 2wd 50 hp. Mainly going to be working food plots, cutting, drive way scraping , moving dirt etc. Just general small farm activities. Any thoughts on which direction I should go?

Easy question. 4wd hands down. Most tractors are traction limited, NOT power limited. I've owned both. 2wd will get stuck in wet grass.

Tractors only have brakes on the rear wheels.

If you have hills, you only have braking on hills with 4-WD engaged, when tractor weight shifts forward.

2-WD tractors are prone to uncontrolled descents.

Absolutely get the 4WD

The front end loader will be MUCH less useful if you only have 2WD.

SOME tractors DO have brakes on the front wheels...

Although I haven't seen a tinker toy tractor with brakes on the front wheels.
