If it were me and I had a need for a new machine for lots of loader work and steep hills, HST would be my only choice. I have an HS and it’s great for my use but I would definitely prefer HST for mostly loader work and lots of hills.

I went and drove the HS again this afternoon. After spending more time behind the wheel I'm in agreement with what you and others are saying about the benefits of the HST with the loader. I'm going to look at the LS one last time tomorrow just to make sure. I appreciate your and everyone elses input on this.

I decided on a LS XR4155HST. I was able to get the tractor, FEL and 72" BB for $27k out the door with free delivery to my house. I'll update with pictures once I get it delivered next week!

That is a really good deal. My dealer wanted $30,000 before tax for the 45hp.

Seems like a good price- I got my XR4155HC w/3rd function installed, bioballast and top/tilt out the door for 34,750. It is taking some getting used to coming from a power shuttle Case 580 backhoe and moving to an HST but it sure is a heck of a lot more civilized

Got my new LS XR4155H delivered a couple of days ago. Put a couple of hours on it yesterday. Doing FEL work at 8,700' in Colorado is no problem at all for this machine!
