A local dealer just got some non-current MF 1428's, hydrostatic and gear.

He wants $11,650 and $10,250.

$1400 extra for the hydro? ...seems like alot.

$10,250 for the gear seems like a great price.

For comparitive purposes, what kubota tractor does the MF1428 hydro compare to ....the B2910 or the B2710?

It's more like the b2910 or the b7800. I looked at both them before I bought the 1428v hydro. The Hydro was a no-brainer for me. The 1428v been a good tractor for me but it's only 1 year old /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I've used it for rough cutting, snow removal, and some FEL work.

I'd say to test all of them and see which one feels right to you. Also, you want to feel comfortable with the dealer. Regardless of what you buy, you will most likely have to deal with them over time.

just my 2¢ and happy shopping!
