Could you guys give any comments on 55 to 65 hp PTo tractors?

I like the 52 and 5300 series JD, the 461 and 471 MF, the TN65 and TN75 for sure. I have no clue about the Kioti, Kubotas, and others.

I do want MFWD and a loader. I am on flat ground but feel the need for MFWD with the loader.

I have a 1987 Kubota M8950 -- it's an 85 PTO HP machine. It is 2WD and I have no loader. I use it exclusively for mowing, in which I have a 15' Rhino Flexwing mower. The tractor has recently hit 8000 hours and it still runs strong.

If you are considering a Kubota, the M6800 would fit your requirement.

I looked at various new and used, ended up with a new 55 pto Zetor 4341 cab, mfwd & loader. Much lower cost than some others, greatest 3 pt lift capacity. I've lifted 40' 9.5' tall shipping containers. After a year and a half no complaints. Large cab has a 2nd seat option, best seat on the farm /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't overlook the Case JX series. It is a good solid tractor made in Turkey and imported to the US by Case. It has engines ranging from 42-80 pto hp. The JX75 (60 pto hp) has a 12 speed transmission with mechanical shuttle shift and can be ordered with flexible end links. It has a non-turbo 220 cu. in. engine.

Would also look at the Kubota M6800 (62 pto hp).

Definitely check those 3 brands out, along with Kubota and Kioti that you have mentioned.

Whatever you pick, get the loader! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Threeman - I have the JD 5325 and absolutely would not trade it for the world. A friend has a Kubota M6800 and he's completely satisfied. My JD is easier to operate than his Kubota and relates to the options I selected over his and, additionally, his tractor is now 4 yrs old. What would you need this size tractor for?

I am curious as to the price range you are looking at, have you any information to share on that, or have you not gotten there yet?

I would expect that my I cannot get a tractor for less than 25 with the FEL. I prefer MFWD so that is another reason that I think it will take somewhere in that neighborhood.

I have a 42hp Ford now that I will probably sell. A 3910 with 785 original hours on it. I maintain about 15 to 20 acres but want a big enough tractor to bale hay with if need be. We currently have about 25 acres leased now. I maintain the rest. The 3910 is 2wd and I dont feel good about mounting the loader to it. Its a good tractor and I dont want to mess up the front end with a heavy loader. I need at least 50hp PTO to do what I want. Preferably around 60. That way I can pull round baler to take care of the place if needed.

I have not began looking at dealerships really. I am doing some research before hand.

The Case JX 75, Kubota M6800 and New Holland TN75 equipped with FEL, mech. shuttle shift, 3 scv's and without any dealer setup charges have an approximate MSRP of $34,000.00, $35,200.00 and $38,200.00 respectively. Depending on your area of the country, expect to get 15-20% off these prices.
