insurance and registration
I live in Texas. Is insurance mandatory and is there some type of registration I need to do when I buy my tractor?
I don't plan on driving the tractor on the road. Just for mowing on the land.
Thanks in advance.

Re: insurance and registration
You might consider pickin' up some insurance just in case of fire or theft. I know here in BAMA it's reasonably inexpensive. Baldwin Mutual writes it for $7.90 per $1000 per year. Less than $200 per year for $25K and you can lower the coverage each year based on depreciation since they will only pay the actual cash value.

Re: insurance and registration
I'd stick with the short answer.
