I stopped by a somewhat nearby John Deere dealer to buy some pins and a clevis. I asked the salesman if I could entertain myself and drive a 3320 and a used 4720, he had no problem with it. First off I was impressed with standard seats, they provided a very forgiving ride compared to my B3030 seat. The 3320 upon start up had a lot vibration in the steering wheel until I applied a touch of throttle then it disappeared, maybe needed to warm up some. The 4720 was simply amazing, I loaded and dumped some gravel they had stockpiled, then took it for a spin around the lot, I was surprised how a heavy tractor can smooth out the ride. Next the dealer demonstrated removing the loader, about 5 seconds. The 4720 has 80 hours on it, the dealer quoted 30,000 ballpark. I asked the owners name and I found out I knew him, the previous owner is meticulous about everything he owns. Bottom line, too much tractor for me, I wish I had 40 acres! My B3030 is perfect for me.

4720's are wicked bad. I have a 3520 and I love it. We are closing next week on 35 wooded acres where we will build our dream house(Lord willing). The 3520 seems like overkill now, but once we get moved, I hope to talk momma into a 4720 in a couple of yrs. I have to say, tractors may well be cooler than guns.

The 4720 is wicked and power is addicting,I agree! It had a 72"MMM and Omni Turfs the mower deck appeared to be just inside that wide a tire, however the rims were reversed. I called the previous owner and asked why he traded down to a 3720, he said that the lower links and mower deck weren't isolated and when he dumped the mower vac. it pulled vac. tube from the deck and he was tired of reconnecting it every 3 passes.

Maybe I should put a 4x20 back on my short list! Just a little pricey, though.

Previous owner said he paid near 40 with all the trimmings and attachments, owned it for 1 1/2 years.
