Tractor
John Deere 5103 w/ 512 LDR
Okay, I've budgeted about $21,500 for tractor and loader. I'd prefer 4WD and, obviously, the most HP for the money. What are my various options? So far, I've got Kubota L4330, Kubota MX5000, and JD 5103.

I guess you are talking new? I'm not sure you can buy any of those with a loader for that money. I thought N80 spent close to that amount on his gear l4400. But you may not have much left over for other stuff. You can save a lot of money buying used, tractors and implements since I bet like most of us the tractor is mostly a toy, not a prefession.

I got my tractor for $5000 with a BH and FM. Built a house with the left over $15,000 :D

After several new purchases of new tractors in the $15,000 to $18,000, over the years, the "bargaining chip" is the cost of the loader, which always seemed to be the most inflated price, plus the tire choice? It also helps us to get a breakdown on the added components. When you decide what you want; let these guys know here, and you will know whether it's a fair deal! It also helps to know the environment the tractor will work in? I would purchase new if you are a first time buyer; it will be less stress on your marriage, I've been there!!

What kind of applications, usages do you have planned? What is the soil? How many hours would you use it? All important questions when deciding on a tractor.

I think it may be overkill, but for those dollars you MIGHT be able to get into a Mahindra 4530 or Kioti DK45s. Not sure about you needs though...

I need to move large round bales on the FEL, shred pastures 3-4x per year (6 footer) and box blade my driveway 1x year.

With those requirements/needs I'd have to favor the Kubota MX5000 of course. It's a nice, stripped down utility tractor. Come to think of it though, I've never seen one with a loader. I'm sure they are available but they would definitely add to the price.

P.S. Just checked the website. The MX5000 does have a FEL option. You can even get a backhoe for it. I doubt if you would need that though. I'm not sure you could get an MX5000 w/ FEL for $21,500 though. If anyone knows the approximate price of such a tractor out there I'd be curious to know.

P.P.S. I just found the answer to my own question. MX5000 Price.
