For you west coasters, I highly recommend you consider attending
the World AG Expo next month in Tulare, CA. It is especially valuable
if you are looking for a new tractor, like ones the dealers don't have
yet, such as the Kubota Grand L 40s or the Kioti CK35 and DK45HST.

I have gone several times and I like the fact that most manufacturers
have factory representatives there. They tend to know a lot about
their machines. This is a huge show....they say biggest in the world.

Dave,
I'll try to cash in on that rain check from last year. I hope my schedule allows it this tme...we'll see. If so, we'll have to meet up there and have a cool one together for sure. Maybe homebrew can join us and a couple other guys around the area?

The World AG Expo may be a huge show, but biggest in the world? Can´t believe this.

I don´t really know anything about agshows in USA or CDN, but I think the european shows like the Sima in Paris/F, Eima in Bologna/I or the Agritechnica in Hannover/D are much bigger

If you "don't really know anything about ag shows in the US or Canada",
how can you assert so definitely that those other shows are "much
bigger"?

As I said, "they say the biggest..." To be more accurate, let me quote
WoldAGExpo exactly. "The show is the world's largest agricultural
exposition, with 2.5 million square feet of exhibit space, over 1,500
exhibitors, and over 100,000 attendees."

I have no horse in this race. Have you been to all those Euro shows,
Mac624? I have not. I once went to the Consumer Electronics Show
(even bigger) and they are bragging about being the biggest show
of any type, anywhere. Might be true.

There are several ways to be the biggest and it seems that Agritechnica
gets more visitors, has a similar number of exhibitors, but has less
exhibit area. That is from the Agritechnica website.

That would be a great excuse for a get-together. The show is midweek,
and I am not sure which day I will go. Those that go the last day are
in danger of going home with extra rolling stock.

I'm in, IF any two other (or hopefully more) TBN's can make it on the same day, and want to meet. I'll buy the first round (up to $100). Any day is good for me.

I am not sure, because I have never been there, but I've been told that there is no way that you can cover this show in 1 day. If you are planning on going and need a hotel room, you best make arrangements ahead of time, there are no rooms left close by.:( Anybody that goes, get pictures and share some of the new things out for this year.:) I wanted to go last year and could not make it, this year, all 3 days for me.

Rooms will be all booked at nearby locations, but you can still stay in
Bakersfield, Madera, and there might be a room or two in Fresno left.
I have only gone for one day, but it is a full day. Last time I stayed with
friends at a ranch 60-odd miles away. That kinda limits the visit to
one day for me.

At least in years past, there has been RV parking also. Knowing Tulare County and the farm show, the definition of "RV" may be somewhat ... liberal :D

... Additionally, there are many other towns in the vicinity than those mentioned previously that have accomodations ... Hanford, Kingsburg, Delano, Selma, Visalia, Porterville, Corcoran, Reedley, Dinuba ...
