Re: JD4100 aluminum rear end
LilRhody (RI?), i almost bought my 4100 with a Kelly Backhoe too, but I could not justify it to the co-banker. But I agree that the way you went is the way to go.

Re: JD4100 aluminum rear end
I've noticed that resale depends alot on the surrounding dealers. Good dealers good resale, bad dealers low resale. I was talking to a guy awhile back and he said that where he lives Kubota's have little resale value!! Reason? The only dealer close by retired. Hmmm Resale value is a perspective. Can't you guys play nice??

Re: JD4100 aluminum rear end
Nuru, I'm very pleased with it. Last week I used the hoe to widen a foot path. The original home-owner had blocked off this path with large rocks and stumps from the foundation site. Between the FEL & hoe I was able to 'clean' things up in a hurry. My wife (who is my co-banker) was impressed on how well the tractor worked . By far this was the biggest workout I've given it. Typical newbie though...no "Before and After" pixs.
