Re: IH 185 CUB LO BOY
If I remember right, it has the same engine as the regular Cub. I think it has an L head and if it was one of the newer models (70's) then it should turn about 18 PTO HP. The LowBoy was a big hit with municipalities and schools because it handled a mower effectively and had a low center of gravity.

Re: IH 185 CUB LO BOY
Anybody have any valve stem keepers they can sell me? The guy working on my tractor (185 low boy) lost 2 of them and now I'm dead in the water. Also when you read the manual they say to adjust the valves when cylander 1 and 4 come up to TDC---Do they mean fireing order of the cylanders ? Because when you turn the engine from front to back 1 and 4 come up then 2 and 3 come up?

Re: IH 185 CUB LO BOY
Never mind on the keepers . I found it laying on top of the oil pick up after I dropped the oil pan. Plus the only way to adjust the valves is to go by firing order not whats is marked on each piston head.

Re: IH 185 CUB LO BOY
Top price here is around $900 for one in showroom condition, less if not! I have 3 of them and most I paid was $950 for 1, PLUS they came with mowers and blades!---so 1600 is double too high for 1! thanks; sonny580
