Good tractors! Brakes might bleed down as the worst problem from that age range.

Re: Case 485 Question on buying?
If the park brake is important to you, make sure it works. It is a band internal to the transmission and is expensive to repair, I understand. They are often left engaged and driven. It also puts chunks of the brake material into the hydraulic system. There are very good tractors and I especially appreciate the synchronized speed gears.

Re: Case 485 Question on buying?
Thanks for the replies, we bought it Friday and played all weekend on it. Everything works great, has 1280 hrs on it.
Thanks for the heads up on the parking brake.
