international 300u
Im new to older tractors and my sportsmans club recently aquired a 1956 international 300 utility. I am curious as to how the inpendent pto setup on this model works. If anyone can provide a powerflow diaghram of iformation on this system, any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I now got the pto to engage. The seasonal disconnect was disconnected. But now the pto is engaged all the time! Doesnt matter where the pto handle is. I ran through the adjustment procedure in the owners manual, but still no difference. HELP PLEASE! Any help would be appreciated!

I think your pto needs to be rebuilt! Does it stop with a load on it?

NO. If I have the finish mower connected, it turns when I try and crank the tractor over. The tractor will not start if it is connected to the finish mower. ( Wont turn fast enough)

I think the operating band may be froze to the drum. Bear in mind this tractor basicly moved boats around at in a parking lot for 40 yrs. Since then it has only plowed snow with a back blade.
