I just got my 1975 Case 580B rebuilt finally and I headed down to dig a water line. It ran fine and drove fine. I got on a slight hill and it would not move, like it was in neutral. Checked tranny fluid and it was low ( and it leaks pretty good right now) put more fluid in it and it once again ran fine.

A few minutes later it lost tranny pressure (according to the gauge) and it once again acted like it was in neutral. I then increased the RPM's a bit to build tranny pressure and all at once the tranny pressure came back to life and the engine stalled. Fired it up again, put the shuttle in forward and it stalled. Fired up again , put shuttle in forward and stall. etc...

This is an old machine and it has been sitting outside for over a year while i got the motor rebuilt. evidently something is locking up ( torque converter possibly?) I really don't know a whole lot about that end of the machine.. Any idea why it continually stalls when i put the shuttle forward? thanks.
