case 480b back hoe diesel extenda hoe 3,000 hours
I am trying to get an idea what this machine is worth
any help would be appreciated

Well the tlb season is now finally upon us,so the prices will be up. If it is clean,has a cab,good tires,runs well with out any leaks I'd say..........$10,000 or so frostbacks. Depending on the condition of course it could go either way on price.

With an extenda-hoe, if the prior owner abused it, you'd be into a large bill to re-build the slides on the hoe. I'd also check to see how much slop there are in the pivot pins, especially the fulcrum pin where the cast frame of the hoe attaches to the main body of the tractor (just below the operators station). I've seen them go around here for anywhere around 5K to 10K. A 10K machine would be well kept. 3000 Hours isn't alot, as long as the machine was greased and maintained in a reasonable manner.
