My IH 454 diesel provides only a heavy leak of fuel to the primary filter. I bumped a tree stump with the left side of the bucket on the front-end loader during the last operation and noticed a loss of power and rpm. After shutdown, there was a heavy fuel leak from the upper gasket of the primary filter which was only 10 hours old. A new filter solved the leak, but the flow problem persists. I blew air up the fuel line with the tank valve closed. I am thinking of removing the valve at the tank first and then, if necessary, what I guess is a compression nut on the fuel line connection at the valve so I can examine the line. Is this a plan? Should I do something else first? Any tips on removing the valve and line? Thanks. - Lou Manza
