case 450 dozer
I have a case 450 dozer that will not move for 20 or maybe 30 minutes after cranking. Has 25 #'s torque converter pressure and between 250 and 300 #'s pressure at transmission . After running a while it gradually moves and gets up to a acceptable pace . Does as well as it has since i have owned it ? Any suggestions on what could be causing this cold no go ?

Improper oil in the transmission? Sounds like too heavy of a weight of oil, but thins enough to drive when warmed up a bit. Should be Case TCH, or equivalent. Have you changed the trans oil since you've had it..??

I did have a line break and put regular tractor Hydraulic oil in it .

This problem usually indicates that the transmission pump is sucking air. If all the suction hoses are in good order & clamps are tight ( no oil leaks while parked?) the problem could be the pump itself ( though unlikely it's the pump -with a transmission pressure of c.290psi indicates the suction screen is not blocked & the charge pump is operating fine) -The trans can use any good trans/converter/hyd oil
