case 1537
I have a Case 1537 skid steer that leaks oil from behind the right front tire. Pulled tire and bearings? and seal? are loose and leaking. Where do I start? I would appreciate whatever help anyone could offer on the best way to start this repair. thanks in advance.

seals only go bad for a few reasons.
1. A bad vent causing excess pressure.
2. Worn shafts or bearings.
3. Something entering and injuring the seal.

Is it on a drive motor?

I have not had a chance to tear into it yet. knowing absolutely nothing about skid steers, I have been a little anxious about tearing into it until I know a bit more. The shaft/hub that the wheel bolts to is wobbly and oil is leaking onto the inside of the tire. it is a belt drive setup so I don't know what that entails as far as drive motors are concerned.

Don't be afraid. It's no different than a car or truck or tractor. It's only as afraid of you as you are it lol

I have worked on 1845 case skidloaders and there pretty simple they have a nut, sprocket, and bearing on inside chain case on that side there were acess covers in the cab to get to the nut and sprocket the bearings face eachouther
